Hyderabad: An unidentified man was run over multiple times by different vehicles on the Outer Ring Road in Shamshabad. The victim, a man in his late thirties, was first hit by an unidentified vehicle near the Chennamma Hotel towards Gachibowli.
He died on the spot. Later, other vehicles too ran over his body. At around 2 am, passers-by noticed blood and flesh spread all over the road and alerted the police.
“We found the mutilated body. The head was also smashed, which makes it difficult to identify the man. Flesh, blood and bones were spread all over the road. The vehicles which ran over the body dragged it for 50 metres. Due to the absence of streetlights on the ORR, other drivers may have failed to notice the body.” said Ch. Hari Prasad Reddy, investigating officer, Shamshabad airport police station.
The victim was wearing a pair of black trousers and brown shirt. The remains have been collected and preserved at the Osmania Hospital mortuary for identification.
