S. Sushanthi of Krishnagiri tops Karnataka Board 12th results, Alamelu second
Krishnagiri: S. Sushanthi of Krishnagiri town did her school proud as she secured 1193 marks to become the state topper in her Class 12 boards. A student of Sri Vidyamandir in Uthangarai, Sushanthi scored full marks in Mathematics, Physics and Biology.
With a score of 198 in Tamil 198, 196 in English and 199 in Chemistry, the 18-year-old became the topper in Karnataka.
The Karnataka HSC 12th results were released on Thursday.
Sushanthi, daughter of R. Sivaprakash, a physical education trainer in a government school in Kuntharapalli, near Hosur of Krishnagiri, expressed their delight. “We are happy for her success.”
“The result was a collective work accomplished by teachers, parents and me.”
It was the hard work that paid off. Sushanthi stayed in a rented house in Uthagarai with her grandmother because her school conducted extra classes till 8 pm daily.
A. Alamelu, 17, of Dharmapuri, another private school student scored 1192 marks to secure the second rank in the state. Alamelu of Sri Vijaya Vidyalaya Higher Secondary School in Dharmapuri scored full marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. She scored 197 in Tamil, 196 in English and 199 in Biology.
The happy girl endorsed the view of the state topper Sushanthi. “My school conducted extra hours of classes, which helped in getting good results,” Alamelu said.
