Deepika Padukone in a dilemma to do a special song in Salman’s ‘Kick’
Mumbai: Deepika Padukone, who is on the top of her game, making the correct film choices and has a great slate of releases laid out for 2014 and 2015, is in a dilemma. The actress, despite getting a very good opportunity, is stuck in a tricky situation. In an industry where egos can hamper relationships for years, she, while picking up quality offers, doesn’t want to rub someone the wrong way.
Buzz is that Sajid Nadiadwala, currently shooting ‘Kick’ in full steam at Mehboob studios, has put forward a request to Deepika to feature in a special song for the film. Deepika in the past has repeatedly gushed over how she would love to work with Salman Khan and this song could be an end to a long wait.
If you are wondering that taking this decision is getting difficult for Deepika because of Shah Rukh–Salman equation, it’s not the case.
An insider reveals that Deepika has liked the entire concept of the song but she is in two minds to go ahead with it or not. Reason? Farah Khan once was Sajid Nadiadwala’s mooh boli sister but things are not the same ever since husband Shirish Kunder had to opt out of ‘Kick’ as a director due to some confusion. Also, the fall out between Sajid Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala has drifted their association further from being friendly.
As for Deepika, currently shooting Farah Khan’s 'Happy New Year', she owes her big debut to Farah and she wouldn’t want to do something that could indirectly upset her. Whether she does the song or not, will be an interesting development to track. But she has to take a decision soon because she is leaving for a long holiday and returns to join Imtiaz’s film, 'Tamasha', on July 9.
