Telangana staff lobby against aides getting options in division

Telangana employees do not want Seemandhra employees to work in Telangana

Hyderabad: Telangana employees have started pressurising the Congress and the TRS even before election results are out, not to give options to Seemandhra employees to work in Telangana.

They are meeting senior leaders of both the parties who are “potential CM candidates” to take up this issue immediately after assuming charge or they will be forced to go on another agitation to protect interests of T-employees.

Hectic lobbying is on by Telangana employees leaders like G. Devi Prasad Rao, C.Vittal, P. Madhusudhan Reddy, V. Srinivas Goud, V. Swamy Goud etc, who are meeting TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao and TPCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah besides senior Telangana Congress leaders like K. Jana Reddy, D. Sridhar Babu etc.

Employee leaders allege conspiracy by some vested interests to ensure that Seemandhra employees continue to occupy crucial positions in all important offices located in Secretariat and HoDs and create problems for new Telangana government.

Mr Chandrasekhar Rao had made this a poll issue and stated that the TRS government won’t give options to Seemandhra staff.

TPCC chief Ponnala assured the delegation that a Congress government will consider their demands positively.

“We want to build a political consensus against giving options to Seemandhra employees before the formation of T-state,” said Mr C. Vittal, Telangana employees leader.
