Submit plans to centre, Governor tells Chief Secretary

Governor accepts all proposals made by different committees after bifurcation of AP
Hyderabad: Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan had earlier accepted all the proposals made by the different committees constituted in the wake of AP Reorganisation Act, 2014, and had asked the chief secretary to submit them to the Centre.
The Governor advised the chief secretary and senior officials to prepare a list of issues to be presented before the Union home secretary who is likely to visit Hyderabad in the second week of May.
Special chief secretary Pradeep Chandra presented a report on the measures to be adopted for the progress and development of the successor states under the Schedule XIII and Section 93.
Schedule XIII deals with Education and Infrastructure proposals and 12 new infrastructure projects.
Principal secretary Sambob briefed the Governor on Tuesday on the allotment of buildings at the Secretariat and said minimum dislocation from the existing premises had been followed. There were 179 departments located in Hyderabad, he said.
After examining various alternatives, the security wing proposed the Lake View Guest house to be earmarked as the AP CM’s camp office. Similarly, the committee proposed to convert the Jubilee Hall to convene the first Session of the Legislative Council of AP. Mr Sambob said civil works taken up at the Secretariat and Legislative Assembly would be completed before the schedule date.
Principal secretary Nagi Reddy presented the Contracts Committee’s recommendations and said the database of all existing contractors could be best used by both the successor states by developing an online system to monitor physical and financial progress on a monthly basis and linking it to the bills management system.
The Resident Commissioner, Andhra Bhavan in Delhi, has submitted the proposals of allotment of existing rooms as per guidelines to the new states.
