London: Aspiring model Elisany da Cruz Silva of Brazil will soon be the world’s tallest bride after her fiancée asked her hand, according to the Daily Mail.
With an unusual height of 6 feet 8 inches, the teen is set to marry her boyfriend Francinaldo da Silva Carvalho, who she has been dating for more than three years.
Though Elisany still draws stares for onlookers, Francinaldo who is 5 feet 4 inches, says he is proud to show her off. The couple has been living together for a year now and are looking forward to an elaborate engagement.
With a difference of over a foot in their heights, Elisany and Francinaldo have more difficulty kissing than most couples. Francinaldo proposed to her dropping on his knees after a romantic walk along the beach.
At 18, Elisany suffers from gigantism, from a tumour on her pituitary gland, hence she hopes to conceive soon due to fears over fertility.
