Supermarkets play vital role in fighting obesity challenges
Groups living closer to a supermarket were able to increase their fruit and vegetable intake
Washinton: A new research has revealed that people who live near to the supermarkets eat healthier food and progress their weight loss.
The authors of this study analyzed data from a randomized, controlled trial and figured out that intervention groups living closer to a supermarket were able to increase their fruit and vegetable intake more than those living farther away.
Leading author Lauren G. Fiechtner said that as our nation strives to improve the health of our children, we must look to children's neighborhoods and provide easier, healthier choices for families.
