Chennai: Vishakha, who was last seen in Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya, celebrated her birthday on May 5. She called a few of her best friends on the eve of her birthday and decided to play bowling, paintball and other sports.
“I want to be a rowdy on my birthday as I am bored of being girlish. I received loads of chocolates, flowers, bouquets, which I cannot forget. All my best friends showered their love on me on my birthday,” she says, which was wonderful. But there was sorrow too as a day before her birthday, Vishaka’s best friend passed away.
“We were very close, we used to share our problems. It’s because of her mother that I came to Chennai and had an opportunity to act in my first film, Pidichiruku. I owe them a great deal,” says Vishaka. “It’s my mom who consoled me that night.”
Vishaka, who is now on a signing spree, will also be doing a Bollywood film. Her next Tamil film, Vaaliba Raja, will be releasing soon and she is also doing a special appearance in Priya Anand’s next film, Oru Oorla Rendu Raja.
“I can’t reveal much about the role. It’s an important role, I play a village girl in the film,” she says. “I have been getting offers for item songs and cameos in many films, but I rejected these as I want to do good roles. I accepted this offer for my friend, Priya Anand, and also for the role,” she adds.
