YSRC’s agriculture loan claim false; Telugu Desam
Hyderabad: The Telugu Desam has dismissed YSRC criticism that its promise to waive farm loans up to Rs one lakh cannot be implemented.
The party has also alleged that a YSRC candidate in Kadapa failed to declare the Rs 100 crore he received into his accounts in Malaysia and Hong Kong, adding that there was enough evidence to show that the YSR family had links to Byyram Mines.
“YSRC says it is impossible to waive the huge loans to farmers. Do they know how much money is given to industrialists? If we recover the amount YSRC leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and others looted in the state, we can waive the loans of farmers several times,” Telugu Desam politburo member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy said.
Mr Reddy alleged that a YSRC Lok Sabha candidate in Kadapa did not disclose his several international bank accounts. “He has bank accounts in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong, but he did not disclose them in his election affidavit. On November 25, 2013 he received '40 crore from one Raghu Varun through OCBC Bank to his Malaysia account. On December 15, he received another '60 crore in his Honk Kong account. What more proof is required,” he said.
Telugu Desam asserted that the YSR’s daughter Sharmila had invested in Byyram Mines and it belongs to her. It's a like a dowry to her. He charged that her husband Anil and several other benamis were involved in the mines.
“We have sufficient evidence to prove their links and all their money transactions,” he added.
