Congress is looking for possible lapses from partymen during elections
Hyderabad: Now that elections are over in Telangana, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee is doing a post-mortem of the elections, aimed mainly at discovering the party leaders who did not work for the party during the elections.
Several candidates have complained to the PCC that important party leaders did not cooperate with them and help them with electioneering.
Mr Ponnala condemned party leader Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy’s remarks on the Congress camapign in Telangana and said that the Congress does not need a star campaigner as every party worker is a star campaigner.
He said Mr Ramana Reddy may have failed to take the manifesto to the people of his constituency. Mr Ramana Reddy said in Warangal on Friday that there were many visible lapses during the campaign, lack of leadership and coordination during the campaign. He had also said there were no star campaigners like former Chief Minister late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy.
