Guntur: Politicians expecting trouble from rivals and their supporters have engaged private security personnel. Sattenapally Assembly constituency YSRC candidate Ambati Rambabu, who is in the fray with TD candidate and former minister Kodela Siva Prasada Rao, has hired hefty bodyguards.
Mr Rao had earlier contested from faction-ridden Narasaraopet constituency.
Tension gripped certain villages in the Sattenapally constituency at the prospect of Mr Rambabu leading in the electoral process. At least six bouncers surround Mr Rambabu on his campaign trails and meetings with the party leaders at office and home.
Rohith of Intelligence Industrial Security Services says, “We have provided security to Mr Rambabu. Our men are trained in crowd management. They can also provide personal security. We have retired army and air force personnel.”
