Madhavan: From chocolate boy to beefcake?

The charming actor is all set for a re-entry into Kollywood in Sudha K Prasad’s next film

Chennai: The heartthrob of Kollywood, Madhavan, has not been seen in K’town for awhile as he is busy shooting for the Hollywood film, Night of the Living Dead, directed by Zebediah De Soto.

The latest buzz though in K’town is that the charming actor is all set for a re-entry into Kollywood in Sudha K Prasad’s next film. He directed Dhrogi, which starred Vishnu and Srikanth in the lead.

Now, sources say, the director has approached Madhavan for his next film to play the role of a boxer. The actor shot to fame with Mani Ratnam’s Alaipayuthe, and now, the chocolate boy is all set to change his avatar, having last been seen in Lingusamy’s Vettai, in which he shared screen space with Arya.

Kollywood is now seeing an array of films in which the lead hero plays a boxer. In Maan Karate, Sivakarthikeyan played the role of a boxer which was a hit, and Jayam Ravi is also waiting for his next film, Bhoologam, in which he too plays a boxer.
