Jairam Ramesh for Kadapa as new capital for Andhra Pradesh
Rs 14,000 crore would be spent for developing Rayalaseema
Kadapa: Union minister Jairam Ramesh said that he would propose Kadapa as the capital for the residuary state of AP. Mr Ramesh, who reached Kadapa on Friday, told the media that the Congress was committed to develop the residuary state by providing all necessary packages. “I propose Kadapa as the capital of AP,” he added.
Announcing sops for the Rayalaseema region, Mr Ramesh said around Rs 14,000 crore would be spent for developing Rayalaseema and to complete the Galeru Nagari, Handri Neeva and other irrigation projects.
