Chennai: Lakshmi Rai is elated as her upcoming flicks, Aranmanai and Irumbu Kuthirai, are gearing up for release. According to her, while the former is a comic-fantasy thriller, the latter is a racy, youth movie which youngsters and bike enthusiasts will enjoy to the core.
She opens up, “I play an irresistible woman in Sundar C’s Aranmanai, where all the guys are after me — all of them want to settle down with me. There is a substantial reason why everyone falls for me. And that will be revealed once you watch the film. The fun part of the film is based on my character.”
Around 80 per cent of the film’s shoot was held at a palace in Hyderabad sans constant change in locations and she has wrapped up her portions except for a promo song.
Irumbu Kuthirai, one of the much anticipated films in her career, has one long schedule left. The film has her playing a biker, hailing from Puducherry, who also owns a bike shop. The one-minute teaser of the action flick, released some time back, received a thumping response from netizens.
However, the pretty damsel asserts that it was just a ‘teaser’ and more breathtaking sequences are in store for movie buffs.
“As reported by many, I don’t play a character with negative shades. On the contrary, mine is a positive and motivational role which is of help to the hero, played by Atharvaa,” she informs.
“The crucial scenes with me in them are yet to be canned and I’m excited to the core to work with professional bikers and stuntmen who have been roped in for the film.”
