Even though the star has been away from the spotlight for a while now , she is ready to make a comeback in Bollywood.
Manisha Koirala is very close to her mom. She once told her, "If this is the pain I have to go through I rather die." Her mom calmly replied, "What are you talking about? It will go away." This lovely lady has no bitterness about the experience.
The actress is writing a book on her life and has also developed a keen interest in painting.
She also recently made in on the cover of a health magazine along with Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha.
The actress has plans of adopting a baby girl, now that she is cancer free she wishes to be a mother.
She once said in an interview, “I have touched death with my illness. That phase has changed me. Today, every sunset, every handshake is valuable for me. But I do not want that to define me.”
Manisha made her Bollywood debut with Subhash Ghai's 'Saudagar' in 1991.
The actress is known for her performance in films like 'Khamoshi', '1942: A Love Story', 'Bombay', and 'Dil Se' among others.
Manisha Koirala in an interview once said, "I value everything more including human beings. I feel like giving hugs to people chalte chalte. You just feel blessed that you are alive."
After undergoing six months of treatment in the states she was back in Mumbai in 2013 in the month of June.
After the actress was diagnosed with the deadly disease , she flew to New York to undergo treatment.
Manisha was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in December, 2012.
"That was a celebration of one year cancer free...I m 1 year old in my new life! Sharing laughter with great friends...I love them. They are precious," she tweeted after posting a series of pictures with friends.
Manisha believes she has turned a year older in her new life.
Tabu, Jackie Shroff and Dipti Naval were among some of the guests present with Manisha.
