Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan asks people to dump YSR Congress

Pawan asked people to vote for TD-BJP combine

Tirupati: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan who took part in the maiden rally of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Telugu Desam in Seemandhra, changed his slogan from “Congress hatao Desh bachao” to “YSR Congress hatao, Desh bachao” to suit the Seemandhra region.

The Tollywood actor who addressed the meeting ahead of both Mr Modi and Mr Naidu, spit fire on YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and targeted the family of Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy.

Mr Pawan Kalyan squarely blamed former Chief minister Rajasekhar Reddy for leading the state to the verge of bifurcation by igniting the feelings of the people of Telangana on regional lines. He said the YSR family had subjected the people of Telangana to extreme injustice by resorting to “land grabbing”, “polarisation” of power and other acts which created insecurity in them.

Pointing out that this insecurity gradually led to the flaring up of regional sentiments among the Telangana people he said that it ultimately led to separate statehood.

Comparing himself to Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, Mr Pawan Kalyan said, “Despite being the chief of a party which is just 50 days old, I had the guts to support the settlers in Telangana, and especially in Hyderabad, and oppose KCR who has been humiliating Seemandhra people. But Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy has not even opened his mouth against Mr KCR or support the settlers in Hyderabad.”

Appealing to the people to vote for development, Mr Pawan Kalyan asked the people to vote for the TD-BJP combine to lead the state and the nation in the path of rapid development. Mr Pawan Kalyan asked people if they wanted someone like Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy who does not support the people or someone who strongly supports the people.

Clarifying to the people why he stepped up pressure against the YSRC instead of the Congress here, Pawan said that the Congress is already deeply buried in Seemandhra, and that the YSRC which is actually an olive branch of the Congress is contesting here in the guise of the Congress.

Ridiculing the YSR Congress, Pawan said the only difference he could see between the Congress and the YSR Congress was that the name of YSR
who was part of the Congress comes upfront in the case of the YSR Congress party. Mr Pawan Kalyan asked Mr KCR to apologise to Narendra Modi for his remarks or else continue to face the music.
