Kollam: A new generation movie director, involved in the murder of a youth, was arrested by the Kottiyam police in filmi-style on Wednesday.
The accused Sangeeth Louis, 39, of Pallivila Veedu, Perayam, Mulavana, was arrested from the shooting location of his movie and handed over to the Kundara police.
Sangeeth Louis has written and directed the movie ‘Swantham Ilanjikkavu PO’ in which Chief Whip P.C. George plays a role. He has also directed the movie ‘Vikrithikkoottam’ in which CPI leader Panniyan Raveendran and P.C. George have acted.

According to Kundara SI B. Ayoob Khan, Sangeeth along with four others assaulted Deepu, 26, of Chiravila, Vadakkathil, Perayam, due to personal enmity on May 19, 2013. Deepu, after being beaten up by the gang, jumped into the Ashtamudi lake. The post-mortem report found that Deepu died due to the injuries inflicted with stones.
Sangeeth will be produced before the court on Thursday.
