Bharatiya Janata Party publishes Rahul Gandhi's picture with an accused

New Delhi: In an intensification of ‘war of photographs’, the BJP on Tuesday came out with a picture which purportedly shows Rahul Gandhi riding a motor cycle with one Asif Billa, an alleged history sheeter of Rajasthan.

The BJP displayed the undated picture to hit back at Congress which on Monday released pictures of Narendra Modi purportedly with Afroz Fatta, a Hawala racket accused.

BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi said politicians cannot escape being photographed with anybody as they are in public life. “But how will you explain this?” she asked showing the photograph in which Rahul is seen purportedly with Asif.

“The way Mr Gandhi is riding a motorcycle, do we assume that they are good friends and Mr Gandhi is responsible for whatever Asif Billa has done,” Ms Lekhi asked. BJP MLA Harsh R Sanghavi had brought out a picture on Monday showing Fatta with Azharuddin and tweeted, “Phatta with Congress leader Azharuddin. Will the Congress answer what’s their connection.”
