Mumbai: Neha Bagga’s life has changed in the last one year, because of her role as Rajji from Bani-Ishq Da Kalma. Neha who had to shift to Mumbai, says the journey hasn’t been easy. “I had never lived away from family, so it was difficult. I would keep calling my parents and cry on the phone.”
Recently, there were rumours about her dating her on-screen husband. Neha laughs at the mention and adds, “Rumours are very dangerous. A reporter once asked me if I am dating Adhvik (Mahajan). I just burst out laughing, but then Adhvik told me that since we are in the entertainment industry we should get used to it.”
Surprisingly, Neha is more popular than Shefali Sharma, who plays the lead. When asked about it, she says, “When I signed the show, it was called Sanjha Chula. A few days before it was launched, it was changed to Gurbani, but some religious groups took objection. So ten minutes before the first episode went on air, the name was again changed to Bani-Ishq Da Kalma, to avoid controversies. I thought to myself, it’s okay if the show is not named after my character; I will give it my best.”
