Tiger lets go of his mane
Mumbai: He may be sporting a close crop in his debut film Heropanti, but just a few years ago Tiger Shroff would be identified by his long and curly mane. It wasn’t an easy decision for him when his director Sabbir Khan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala suggested that he would have to let go of his tresses for his role in Heropanti.
The makers of the film understood his predicament and didn’t make it very drastic for Tiger. Sabbir says, “Yes, Tiger was emotional about his hair so we went with the process of cutting it step by step. To his credit though, even if he was sad about it, he didn’t require much convincing. He is someone who will do anything to get the character right. I realised that during our workshops and readings. I could tell he was visualising the character and taking mental notes. He saw it coming and was eventually game for it.”
Sabbir also appreciates how Tiger worked on his physique for Heropanti. “Tiger is a top class gymnast. Among Bollywood newcomers, he perhaps has the fittest body. He is so flexible. I think his look works perfectly on screen.”
Well, we’ll soon find out.
