Mumbai: When Vidya Balan opted out of Sujoy Gosh’s ‘Durga Singh Rani’, the industry was shocked and believed the star opted out due to pregnancy, but in a recent interview with Mumbai Mirror Vidya has slammed all pregnancy rumours.
“I’m fed up of these rumours. These days people look at my stomach when they talk to me. Why are actors and actresses treated differently in this industry? Recently, a young actress did something to look different and she was castigated. Haven’t male actors got cosmetic jobs done?” ( Was she referring to Anushka Sharma)
The actress needs to mentally prepare herself to be a mother. “Inshallah, I will have a baby—but not so soon. I’m not mentally ready for motherhood yet. It’s a daunting task to be responsible for another human being.”
The actor admits that had Mohit’s film started as planned in March, she would have opted out of that film too due to health issues.
