People trust KCR, says Vishweshwar Reddy

Reddy said, TRS made statehood for Telangana a reality, not the Congress

Hyderabad: Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, who is contesting from the Chevella parliamentary constituency, said that the people firmly believe that it is the Telangana Rashtra Samiti that made statehood for Telangana a reality, and not the Congress.

“The Congress’ attempt to claim that it has given statehood to Telangana has actually backfired. People who have never participated in the Telangana agitation are now joining me in my padayatras and election campaigns with the clear aim of ensuring that the TRS will form the first government in the new state,” he said, as he intensified his campaign ahead of the April 30 elections in Telangana.

Mr Vishweshwar Reddy was explaining to the people that only a regional party will have the single agenda of developing Telangana, and that the people trust the Telangana Rashtra Samiti and its leader K. Chandrasekhar Rao in taking the state on the path of growth, progress and development.

National parties like the Congress and the BJP will have an eye on the votebank in Andhra Pradesh, as such they may not be able to do justice to Telangana which a party like the TRS can do.

Mr Vishweshwar Reddy promised the farmers in the four rural Assembly segments of Tandur, Vikarabad, Chevella and Parigi that he would personally ensure that water is brought from Jurala to irrigate lakhs of acres instead of waiting for the Pranahitha-Chevella system, which is a long-term project that is still on paper.

For the voters of the urban segments of Serilingampally, Rajendrenagar and Maheshwaram, Mr Vishweshwar Reddy said he will tap funds worth thousands of crores available under various Central schemes to provide and improve civic infrastructure like roads, water and drainage network, electricity sub-stations, hospitals, schools and transportation facilities.

As Mr Vishweshwar Reddy has a professional background, he will conduct training programmes to upgrade skills among youth and help them find jobs.

He will set up party offices in the Assembly segments to coordinate between the voters and various government agencies in the state and at the Centre to channel the welfare schemes.
