K Chandrasekhar Rao will miss both ‘buses’: Sushma Swaraj
Hyderabad: Senior BJP leader Ms Sushma Swaraj took a dig at TRS president Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao for his intemperate language.
“KCR is contesting Parliament and Assembly seats with a motive. If he gets majority in Telangana, he wants to be CM. If not he wants to shift to the Centre and seek a Cabinet berth. But my reading is he may miss the bus at both places,” she remarked even as the crowds burst into peals of laughter at Naraspur.
She asserted that the BJP-led NDA government would form government at the Centre under the leadership Mr Narendra Modi. Travelling between towns by helicopter, Ms Swaraj along with BJP leaders addressed a series of election rallies in Narsapur, Nalgonda, Hanamkonda and Hyderabad during her whirlwind tour of Telangana to campaign for the BJP and Telugu Desam combine.
The senior BJP leader who helihopped during her campaign to different places targeted the Congress and blamed the party for the deaths of 1,100 youth during the Telangana movement.
“Congress delay in granting Telangana led to the death of these youth. It is the BJP which forced the Congress to give Telangana. But for the BJP, Telangana would never have been a reality,” she asserted.
She promised to give Pranahita Chevella the national project status if the BJP-led NDA government is voted to power at the Centre.
At Narsapur, TD-BJP rally, Ms Sushma Swaraj asserted that the two new states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh can only be developed by the BJP.
After her address at Hanamkonda, Ms Swaraj had to drive down to Hyderabad as her helicopter could not get Air Traffic Control clearance, it is learnt.
