EC surveillance team seizes Rs. 8 crores in poll-bound Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad: A surveillance team of the Election Commission has confirmed the seizure of Rs. eight crores in cash from a person who was travelling in a public vehicle in the Shamshabad area of poll-bound Andhra Pradesh.
The person was travelling in a city bus with the huge amount of cash.
The seized cash has been reported to income tax officials. EC officials said the person is being questioned about the source and the destination of the cash.
Seventeen Lok Sabha seats will go to polls in Andhra Pradesh on April 30.
