Will not campaign for sister, says actor and TDP minister Balakrishna
Balakrishna said he is not told by the party leadership for campaigning
Visakhapatnam: TD founder NTR’s son and actor-turned-politician Balakrishna said on Wednesday that he would not campaign for his sister D Purandeswari, who is contesting for Rajampet Lok Sabha in Kadapa on a BJP ticket.
Talking to reporters in Vizianagaram on Wednesday, Balakrishna added that Rajampet was not included in the route map finalised by the party leadership for his campaigning. Balayya has toured Vizianagaram and Vizag as part of the poll campaigning and exuded confidence of winning from the Hindupur Assembly seat with thumping majority.
Answering a query about his brother Harikrishna and nephew Jr NTR keeping away from campaigning for the Telugu Desam, Balayya said that the party had not invited anyone in particular for campaigning. He added that the TD coming to power was a historic necessity for the development of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states. He also addressed road shows in Sabbavaram and Anakapalle in Vizag.
