Rajahmundry: Alleging that Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu’s tenure as the CM was witness to a series of scams including the Emaar, Food-for-Work and other scams involving thousands of crores of rupees YSRC honorary president Y.S. Vijayalakshmi asked Mr Naidu if he is ready to face a probe on these issues.
Addressing an election meeting in the Muslim-dominated Azad Chowk on Wednesday, Ms Vijayalakshmi blamed Mr Naidu for ignoring the interests of the commoners by diluting the schemes started by late N.T. Rama Rao like Rs 2-per-kg-rice and free power to farmers using motors with a capacity up to 50 hp.
She also accused the TD chief of subjecting employees to hardships by denying better service conditions. Ms Vijayalakshmi rejected Mr Naidu’s claims of developing Hyderabad and initiating projects like the Ring Road, Metro Rail and others. She claimed that the projects were originally started during YSR’s regime.
