PM Manmohan Singh remote-controlled, says Pawan Kalyan
Hyderabad: Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan said that he would think about a joint campaign with BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu and also individually. He accused the Congress and the Telangana Rashtra Samiti of “sowing seeds of hatred in two regions.
“The Congress is to be blamed for the deaths of hundreds of students. The manner in which the state has been bifurcated pained me. I started Jana Sena party but decided not to contest to avoid split in the votes,” he said.
“A strong country like India should not have a remote-controlled Prime Minister operated by Mrs Sonia Gandhi, but a strong leader like Mr Modi who can provide a stable government. To get Central funds for the new states, we need a proactive Prime Minister like Mr Modi.”
The TRS lacks administrative experience, he said, and its party leaders abuse Congress president Sonia Gandhi. They called her ‘devata (God)’ initially, and they are now calling her ‘Bali Devata (God who seeks sacrifice)’, the actor said.
They also abuse Mr Modi. “How can they get the funds for development and implementation of their 32-page manifesto? Ultimately, Telangana people will be the losers and the sacrifices of hundreds of youth will go waste,” he said.
