“Sachin is a patriot. During his playing days, we always saw him with an India flag in his kit. Also on his helmet, the India flag was clearly visible. How can he remain out of the country on voting day?” Tendulkar’s friend Marcus Couto said.
“Sachin Tendulkar will leave India immediately after voting on Thursday,” a source close to the cricketer said. “We cannot reveal the destination but he will be on a holiday with his family for few days.” If he is not rejoining the Mumbai Indians, Tendulkar is likely to go to England, where he owns a home. He is also scheduled to lead the MCC team versus the Rest of the World on July 5.
