I am better than Narendra Modi, says Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa

Jayalalithaa reeled out statistics to show that TN is ahead of Gujarat

Chennai: “Who is better when it comes to delivering good governance? Is it Gujarat’s Modi or Tamil Nadu’s lady? (Gujarathai serntha Modiyaa allathu Tamil Natttai serntha intha ladyaa?)” asked chief minister J. Jayalalithaa at her rallies in Kandanchavady, Perungudi, T. Nagar and other parts in the South Chennai constituency on Monday evening.

When the huge crowd roared “Amma,” Ms Jayalalithaa said, “This lady in Tamil Nadu is better than Gujarat’s Modi in governance.” She also reeled out statistics on various sectors to substantiate her stand that Tamil Nadu was ahead of Gujarat in numerous aspects and that she was better administrator than Modi.

She also wound up three-day electioneering in the city during the end of her whirlwind campaign in the state by asking all AIADMK candidates for the 39 Lok Sabha constituencies in TN and the lone Puducherry seat, to assemble on the stage at the final meeting for the day at T. Nagar and introduced them to the people. “These are your candidates. They will always be at your doorsteps to serve you, if you elect them,” she urged.

With this her 51-day grueling campaign, across the 40 Lok Sabha seats urging the people to vote for her party in the April 24 polls and make AIADMK part of the next government at Delhi to safeguard their interests, ended on the eve of deadline for electioneering. Ms Jayalalithaa urged the people to reject the corrupt Congress and DMK and ensure TN’s voice is heard at national level by sending all 40 MPs, in pursuant of her national role.
