12 held, cases booked for attack on Chandrababu Naidu's son Lokesh
Hyderabad: A day after violence erupted at Pebberu mandal after a Telangana Rashtra Samiti activist threw a beer bottle at Telugu Desam leader Nara Lokesh, Kothakota police arrested at least 12 people in the case.
The police has booked cases against both TRS and TD workers under different sections of the Indian Penal Code for rioting and unlawful assembly.
Meanwhile, the police has also booked a case against two other people for attacking a policeman who was on duty. TRS leaders P. Yella Reddy and Shiva Sai had allegedly attacked head constable Sagar during the scuffle.
The highly dramatic incident took place when Telugu Desam supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu’s son Lokesh was addressing a gathering in Pebberu mandal on Sunday night. He escaped unhurt in the incident. Two vehicles were, however, damaged.
