Mumbai: With 2 States turning out to be a hit, Alia Bhatt has a reason to smile. While she is soaking in the appreciation coming her way, she has also put together a holiday plan to give herself a much-deserved break. The actress will soon be taking off to Europe.
“Yes, I am going on a holiday to Paris and London. I will be accompanied by my mother and sister,” she says. Alia had spent a good part of last year too, travelling: she had gone on plenty of road trips across the country while shooting for Highway.
This year, however, she wants to travel only for leisure. “I want to get back to my normal life for a few days at least. Once I return, I will resume shooting for Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya with Varun Dhawan.” For Alia who was almost written off as “just a pretty face” after Student of the Year, this year been great with the success of Highway and 2 States.
“I have managed to change the perception of people in the industry and the audience in general. That’s good because a lot was written about me after Student of the Year. It was said that I am just a pretty face, who’s not cut out to be an actor. I thought about it and knew that the only way I could prove them wrong was through my work. So I put my all in Highway and 2 States, both of which were very different from each other. I am glad to be seen in a different light now,” Alia says.
