Is your Google Glass working?

The world’s newest piece of tech went on sale for just one day. It costs nearly a lakh and hundreds have been waiting for an opportunity to wear it on their faces and walk about taking photos and talking to themselves. But Google Glass users who availed the ‘one day sale’ seem to be regretting their decision because Glass simply doesn’t work in India, not yet.

After DC spoke to one user, it was revealed that the Glass needs an activation software that is currently not available “in our region”.

“For many hours, it was just a headset and a camera because the software was not available for Indian users. But I have managed to crack it,” the user said. In simpler terms, your Google Glass, that promising piece of future tech, will not be able to function properly in the country until it is officially launched here. So if you have asked your cousin, your brother or uncle from the States to send you one, you should maybe now ask for chocolates and a T-shirt instead. Or just wait longer.
