Telangana Congress expels 12 rebels from party
Congress set Thursday deadline for the rebels to come back
Hyderabad: Telangana PCC disciplinary committee took the decision on Thursday to expel 12 rebel candidates from the party for six years. The Telangana PCC on Thursday morning consulted the rebel candidates and gave them a deadline to withdraw from the fray by 3 pm.
After the deadline, Telangana PCC disciplinary committee chairman M. Kodanda Reddy announced that they have taken a decision to expel the 12 rebel candidates from the party for six years.
The expelled leaders include Ameena Khan (Adilabad), Shankar (Bellampalli), Kousik Hari (Ramagundam), J. Narasinga Rao (Korutla), Aruna Tara (Jukkal), Kasimkhan (Yakutpura), Sugurappa (Maktal), K. Narayana Rao (Kalwakurthy), Palvai Sravanthi (Munugode), Laxmi Narayana Naik (Palakurthy) and Bheem Rao (Hujurabad).
Meanwhile, the Telangana PCC decided not to take action against Malreddy Ranga Reddy who refused to withdraw his nomination. He was given conditional B form for Maheswaram Assembly segment which went to the CPI in seat adjustments. After CPI candidate Aziz Pasha filed his nomination, the Telangana PCC asked Mr Ranga Reddy to withdraw his nomination but he rejected the request.
