Rakul Preet Singh opens up on her role, about her co-stars, and more
Chennai: After debuting in Mani Ratnam’s Kadal, Gautham Karthik’s second film Ennamo Yedho is all set for release on April 25. Movie buffs have huge expectations from this film, and the songs composed by D. Imman have already got rave reviews. The film is directed by Ravi Thyagarajan and it is a remake of the Telugu hit Ala Modalaindi.
Rakul Preet Singh of Yaariyan fame, has reprised Nithya Menen’s role in the film. About her character in the film she says, “I play a very innocent, yet smart girl. I can easily relate my real life character to it, and it is very close to my heart. I hope that I have done justice to Nithya Menen’s role in the film. In fact she is one of my favourite actresses, and it was a challenging role with a lot of scope for a good performance.”
Veteran actor Prabhu plays an important role in the film. “My first day’s shoot for the film was with Prabhu sir. He made us feel so comfortable and was really supportive. Also, since Gautham Karthik and I are of same age, we shared a very good rapport both on and off-screen. On the sets we used to push each other! It was never like we were actually at work. Even my character in the film is same,” she says.
The film is a romantic comedy. Nikesha Patel plays an important role in the film. Rakul Preet Singh is now shooting for three Telugu films.
