Mumbai: Bollywood bombshell Katrina Kaif has made her choice. Apparently the actress has been invited to the Cannes Film Festival this year, but she has chosen to skip the event as the shoot of her alleged partner Ranbir Kapoor's first production coincides with the event, Hindustan Times reported.
A source was quoted saying, "When Katrina received the invitation, she was seriously considering going as Cannes is one of the most prestigious film events and you get to share the stage with several big names from across the world. But she decided against going, as she doesn't want to disrupt the schedule of her film."
Ranbir will not only be producing this film, but will also be seen in it as the lead, the source added.
Cannes Film Festival starts on May 14, and the actors will begin shooting for the film under the direction of Anurag Basu around the same time.
