Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen says it with a song
Hyderabad: “Yeh waqt nahin hai sone ka (this is not the time to sleep), yeh waqt hai aage badneka (the time to move forward), hum mulk banaane, bachane nikley hain, aao hamaare saath chalo (Let us join together to save and build the nation)”.
With the song playing in the background, the MIM’s star campaigners, Asaduddin Owaisi and Akbaruddin Owaisi, went from door to door in the constituencies seeking their votes for the party. The MIM has commissioned three songs for its campaigns.
During the daily padayatras, the Owaisi brothers have been appealing the voters to beware of communal forces and to strengthen their hands to fight against the traitors of the nation. With wireless mics, the brothers have been visiting every by-lane of the constituencies.
Wherever people come forward, the MIM leaders hand over the mic to them to explain their problems, promising that the issue will be resolved immediately after the elections.
Mr Asaduddin Owaisi said that they were seeking the people’s mandate based on secular values and the development activities. “We never underestimate our opponents. We respect them and at the same time we explore all possible ways to ensure our victory,” he added.
