Botsa Satyanarayana kin get five tickets
Hyderabad: The AICC on Sunday night announced its candidates for 139 Assembly and 20 Lok Sabha seats for Seemandhra which contains several new faces.
Out of the 25 Lok Sabha seats, Congress has announced 20, which includes Union ministers Killi Kriparani (Srikakulam), Kishore Chandra Deo (Araku), M.M. Pallam Raju (Kakinada) Panabaka Laxmi (Bapatla) and Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy (Kurnool).
Out of 175 Assembly seats, Congress has announced candidates for 139 seats, out of which only 23 sitting MLAs, who remained with the party after massive desertion by many others were renominated.
PCC president N. Raghuveera Reddy has changed his constituency from Kalyanadurgam in Anantapur district to Penukonda in the same district.
Meanwhile former PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana got tickets for himself and three of his close relatives and also for his wife Jhansi Laxmi for the Vizianagaram Lok Sabha seat.
Andhra Pradesh Assembly speaker Nadendla Manohar was allotted the Tenali Assembly seat.
New comers were given seats this time due to former ministers Ahmedulla (Kadapa), Vatti Vasanth Kumar (Unguturu), Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad (Tadikonda) and Gade Venkata Reddy (Bapatla) declining to contest the polls.
Nedurumalli Ram Kumar Reddy, son of former CM and ailing Rajya Sabha member, Nedurumalli Janardhana Reddy, has been given a ticket from the Venkatagiri Assembly in Nellore District which has been represented both by his father and mother.
