SSLC results only after April 21
Thiruvananthapuram: The results of the SSLC examination will be announced only after April 21. Though the valuation has ended, the tabulation is still pending.
With most days next week being holidays in view of Vishu, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, it would be difficult to complete the tabulation before April 21.
Pareeksha Bhavan Secretary Johns V.John said the exact date of announcing the results had not yet been finalized. Sources in the office of Education Minister P.K. Abdu Rabb also confirmed that an exact would be announced only after next week.
A total of 4.64 lakh students appeared for the examinations which were held from March 10 to 22 in 2,815 centres including nine in Lakshadweep and eight in the Gulf region.
The total number of candidates who appeared included 2.36 lakh boys and 2.27 lakh girls. Of the students, 3.42 lakh were from the Malayalam medium, 1.16 lakh from English medium, 2,302 from Tamil medium and 3,326 from Kannada medium.
The maximum number of candidates who took the examination from a single centre was from St. Mary's School, Pattom, with 1,721 candidates.
