The nude nail paints themselves have gone through many phases of revolution. From pinky nudes to opaque nails that were sported by the likes of Carolina Herrera who went with the old school pale nails. The reds are not just for the lips this season. They have found their way onto the nails as well. But instead of going with the post office red, give its country cousin, the burgundy a shot. Deep red nails are really hot this summer and you will literally have the entire world on your finger tips. If you the colour might make you think that you have ‘blood on your hands’ then opt for greys. You can play around with the metallic hues, shiny glittery ones or even give the matt a shot. Play up your nails with a little contrasting colour for a dramatic effect, maybe a line of white or a tinge of red. While you can play around with the shades of grey, try not to go too black.
Who says that gold is only for the accessories or ensembles? Splash some gold on your finger nails too. You could in fact jazz up your fingers with a few funky gold rings too. Perfect to go along with an LBD! Reversed mani is also doing the rounds, but not in the plain Jane nude and pink, but in funky colours.
