Samsung is selling the Galaxy S5 cheaper than Flipkart
Finally, the Samsung flagship model, Galaxy S5, has been officially announced on sale and the Indian price is seen for Rs 51,500.
Flipkart, surprisingly, is retailing the model for a higher price than Samsung’s MRP at a whopping Rs 53,499.
To add up to the pricey deal, Samsung is additionally offering additional 20 per cent cash back on CitiBank Credit cards, which brings down the offer price of the handset at Rs 41,200. This offer beats Flipkart’s price by almost a whopping Rs 12,299.
So why is Flipkart selling the handset so expensive? We would have to wait for a while till Flipkart introduces additional offers and exchange values for old handsets. Maybe a few days later, but the present deal on Samsung’s official online store is very tempting.
On the other hand, Infibeam, Snapdeal and Saholic are retailing the handset at Rs 54,300 along with an additional discount and claiming the price to be the same that Samsung is selling it at. Either they are trying their luck to lure customers into thinking that they got a great discount or they don’t know that the official MRP from Samsung is Rs 51,500.
Price at Mobile Store is Rs 50,900 along with an additional 5 percent off if you use a debit/credit card to shop online.
Ebay also is retailing the handset at Rs 50,000, but no offers.
Flipkart isselling the same handset for a higher price as compared to Samsung's MRP on its online store.
