Congress lacks heavyweights to counter KCR

Hyderabad: Telangana Congress leaders are lacking in star campaigners in the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha polls.
While in Andhra Pradesh, the party has megastar Chiranjeevi to campaign for the candidates, in Telangana, there are no heavyweights to counter TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
Telangana PCC campaign committee chairman Damodar Raja Narasimha may not be able to take up extensive campaigns in the state as he has to concentrate on his own Assembly constituency in Andole in Medak district where the TRS is expected to give a tough fight.
Telangana Congress leaders are depending on leaders like Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi to campaign in the region but the two have to campaign in other states as well and, thus, can’t dedicate enough time to Telangana.
