Hyderabad: YSR Congress leader Sharmila will begin extensive poll campaign in Telangana while party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and honorary president Y.S. Vijayalakshmi will concentrate on Andhra Pradesh.
In an informal meeting with senior party leaders on Thursday, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy discussed party campaign in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states.
According to sources, the party has decided to give full responsibility of campaigning in Telangana state to Ms Sharmila who has been made in-charge of election campaign in Telan-gana state.
In the Telangana region, the YSR Congress is contesting 104 Assembly and 13 Lok Sabha seats, and the YSRC has decided to concentrate on the constituencies where the party has a stronghold.
Ms Sharmila will begin the Telangana campaigning on April 12 starting at Secunderabad, and continue her campaign for a week. Mr Sharmila will tour Malkajgiri, Nalgonda and Khammam districts.
Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy and Ms Vijayalakshmi will concentrate in Andhra Pradesh where they are hopeful of coming to power but will campaign in some constituencies of Telangana if necessary.
The YSRC is expecting to win in Hydera-bad and Rangareddy where Seemandhra voters are in large number as also in some seats in south Telangana area like Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda and Khammam districts.
