Vishal and Lakshmi Menon's's lip-lock scene has kept 'NSM' in news
Chennai: 'Naan Sigappu Manithan', which stars Vishal and Lakshmi Menon, has been in the news ever since the duo’s lip-lock scene got out. The underwater scene also became a talking point for the film.
The movie was cleared with U/A certification from the Censors and when the makers tried to convince the members by applying to the revising committee, NSM once again ended with the same fate. Vishal, who happens to be the producer of the film, told DC that the movie received U/A not only because of these scenes, but because of its content which the Censors feel can be watched only with parental guidance.
According to reliable sources, one of the sensitive issues that director Thiru has touched upon in NSM is to do with Indran (Vishal) who suffers from Narcolepsy (a neurological disorder that affects the control of sleep and wakefulness).
He is witness to a gang rape, which perhaps takes its cue from the Nirbhaya incident. How he identifies the criminals and takes revenge forms the rest of the film, adds the source.
