Ananth Kumar takes potshots at ‘sleepy’ Siddaramaiah
Terms Narendra Modi as a man of ‘good governance
Belgaum: BJP national general secretary, Ananth Kumar has termed Narendra Modi as a man of ‘good governance' while dubbing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah a ‘sleepy man' and leader of the Aam Admi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal as a man of ‘no governance.'
Mr Kumar was speaking at a rally organised ahead of the Lok Sabha elections at Ghataprabha near Gokak. He said that farmers who are getting loans at 9 per cent interest rate in Congress ruled Karnataka, are getting the loans at zero per cent interest in states where the BJP is in power. Only Narendra Modi, the BJP' s PM candidate can remove poverty in the country as he was born poor and started his life by working as a labourer.
AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and will not be able to fight poverty unlike Mr Modi. The BJP will be able to find a lasting solution to some of the major problems which the country faces if Modi becomes PM, he said. Similar to the special economic zones(SEZs) set up in the country, the BJP would set up a special agri zone for the Ghataprabha region if it comes to power at the Centre.
To provide an effective market for quality vegetables grown in abundance in Belgaum region, the BJP government would start special trains having cold storage facilities to Mumbai and Bengaluru, he said.
Mr Kumar who is the BJP candidate for Bangalore South constituency, called on people to vote for Modi to ensure that Karnataka has developmental projects similar to what Gujarat has. He said,Gujarat state has power supply all 24 hours a day besides all other basic amenities for the common man in both rural and urban segments. Mr Modi will help extend such facilities to Karnataka too, he said.
He said the BJP rallies in most places are receiving a tremendous response
