Fascist attack on Saif Ali Khan?

The actor talks about the allegations seeking action against him for leaving the country during elections
Earlier this week, Saif Ali Khan was upset when an MLA alleged that he was opting to visit the US for an awards night when he should have rather stayed back in Mumbai to vote during this election season. In a quick fire chat, Saif clears the air:
An MLA from Thane has apparently written to the President of India seeking action against you and others, questioning your decision to fly to the US for the IIFA Awards. What do you have to say about this?
My travel plans are private and I am amazed that someone else could have access to that and have a better idea than me. In fact, I’m myself not sure about when I’m leaving for the US.
This man seems to feel that you should stay back and vote instead.
I understand that voting is important and I am indeed going to vote before I leave. Having said that, it is my choice to vote! Even if I was not voting, what this man is suggesting is not just frightening but also unconstitutional.
You leaving the country has been termed as a ‘serious issue’ by him; so much so that a suggestion has been made to impound your passport, along with others, lest you leave.
How can anyone suggest something like that? This is a democracy but when someone says things like these (apparently out of love for the country), they only end up sounding unconstitutional and undemocratic; it smells of a fascist attitude.
