Akshay Kumar and Abhishek Bachchan together in ‘Housefull 3’

Mumbai: Filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwalla has managed to rope in Akshay Kumar and Abhishek Bachchan for his upcoming film, ‘Housefull 3’ after a gap of nearly 12 years, according to a report in Bombay Times.

This film will be Sajid –Farhad’s second directorial venture. ‘It’s Entertainment’, the duo’s first film together is scheduled to hit the theaters on August 15 2014.

A source was quoted saying in the newspaper, “The ‘Housefull’ franchise is a promising one in the masala entertainment space. ‘Housefull 2’ is in the 100-crore club. Sajid plans to keep it going till the time he is able to rope in exciting actor combinations. Also as long as he is able to find entertaining scripts.”

Akshay Kumar previously starred in the first two installations of the ‘Housefull’ franchise. But this time Abhishek Bachchan will be joining the star in the film, the duo was last seen together in a movie in 2002 for ‘Haan Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya’.
