Elections 2014: Critical polling stations to get Central forces
Micro observers will be selected and posted by central observers
Kochi: The Election Commission of India on Monday submitted before the Kerala High Court that Central forces will be deployed in ‘critical polling stations’ in the state.
The ECI filed a statement in this regard on a plea filed by Kasargod UDF candidate T. Siddique seeking smooth polling in his constituency.
ECI said that live web casting will be done in selected polling stations. The entire proceedings in identified booths will be recorded. Micro observers will be selected and posted by central observers.
“Sufficient steps has been taken to see that all dead voters are deleted and in addition separate list absent, shifted, dead (ASD) voters have been prepared through field visit to prevent bogus voting,” ECI submitted.
