Hyderabad: Working day and night without sleep for almost five days would be almost impossible for most of us, but that is exactly what actor Sonu Sood has been doing.
The actor is shuttling between Mumbai and Hyderabad, shooting simultaneously for the multi-starrer Happy New Year and for the Tollywood film Aagadu with Mahesh Babu.Sonu has replaced Prakash Raj, who was recently removed from the Aagadu cast.
Sonu says, “I am doing the role which Prakash was initially called for. I have no clue about what happened on the sets before I joined the team.”
“I received a call from Srinu Vaitla and I flew down the next day. Srinu and Mahesh are good friends and for Tollywood, I am just a call away,” he adds.
Shooting for two movies day-in and day-out, the actor says, “In Mumbai, we are currently shooting a dance sequence for Happy New Year and in Hyderabad I am shooting for Aagadu and all of it simultaneously.”
“I reach the airport directly from the sets of Happy New Year at 6 am every day, to catch the first flight to Hyderabad. I shoot here and then take the evening flight back to Mumbai to join the sets there. I have been doing this for five days now. These are testing times but I am enjoying every bit of it.”
On how he is coping with these schedules, the actor says, “I am happy to be working with amazing people like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Mahesh Babu, Srinu Vaitla and others on both the sets. They understand that I do not get the required sleep and support me throughout.”
“It is only the journey between the sets and the airports which takes a toll on me. But once on the sets, the ambiance charges me up,” he adds.
