Rs 20 lakh worth gold bars seized from air passenger in Tamil Nadu
Six gold biscuits, weighing 100 gm each was found hidden in the passenger’s innerwear
Coimbatore: Gold biscuits valued at Rs 20 lakh were seized and an air passenger arrested for allegedly attempting to smuggle them at the airport on Sunday, police said.
The seizure was made when customs officials on suspicion made a thorough search of Rukman Amith, a native of Theni in Tamil Nadu, on his arrival from Sharjah in the wee hours.
They found six gold biscuits, weighing 100 gm each, hidden in his innerwear, police said.
