Jai Samaikhyandhra to fight from both Telengana, Andhra Pradesh
Rajahmundry: Newly-floated political outfit Jai Samaikhyandhra of former chief minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy intends to contest from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states in the polls.
It plans to field expelled Congress MP from Rajahmundry Vundavalli Arun Kumar from the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha segment in Telangana and sitting Congress MLA from Secunderabad Assembly segment veteran film actress Jayasudha from Rajahmundry Lok Sabha segment in AP.
The party will take up campaign with the poll plank to uphold the “Telugu pride”. The party, which claims to be receiving a large number of aspirants to contest from both the states, says it will have an alliance with political parties having “similar interests”.
Speaking to newsmen here on Thursday, JSP vice-president, G.V. Harsha Kumar said their party is the best alternative in the present political scenario where some parties are luring voters by offering them cash ranging between Rs 1,000 and Rs 5,000 while demanding huge amounts from aspirants to contest the polls.
He said, “People are supporting both the TD and YSRC as they find no alternative. We promise to uphold the Telugu pride and infuse values into the political system.”
He held both the Congress and the BJP responsible for bifurcation of the state and also termed Congress as anti-Dalit for failing to bring a legislation on SC sub-quota and on provision of reservation for Dalits in the private sector.
